Tintswalo Safari Lodge
African Inspired Safaris – Inspired to take you there
ABOUT
Tintswalo Safari Lodge
Why This
Inspires Us
- Unforgettable experience! As you arrive you are welcomed by this stunning setting where the lodge overlooks a waterhole in the river bed – The best is that the “elephant water fountain” as we named it – attracts these huge, majestic creatures! Many meals are enjoyed with the ellies as your backdrop!
- The elephant hide is amazing and strategically hidden as you can get such close up photos of anything that comes to drink – it almost feels like you can reach out and touch them!
- Each suite is staggered along the banks of a seasonal river and takes you back in time, each telling a story on their own and reflecting the adventures of early European explorers!
- We loved sitting on the private deck – taking a cool dip in the plunge pool (drink in hand) can turn into a virtual parade of animals – what can be better!
- Winter evenings are made cosy with fireplaces in each Suite & bubble baths and to finish it off your loving partner to enjoy all of this with!
- Tintswalo Safari Lodge is THE intimate getaway for privacy and attention to detail – they go as far as setting up sundowners and starters (cooked in front of you) in the bush to different areas back at the lodge for dinner! This definitely ticked a box for us when we experienced this stop!
- Manyeleti reserve is unfenced to the famous Kruger National Park where animals roam freely between the two and there is great potential of seeing the big five (with the added bonus of seeing very few vehicles)! In fact when we stayed there, we saw the biggest herd of buffalo and amazing lion sightings! (but you do need to remember that this is not a zoo and animals come and go as they please!)

Lodge
Information
Manyeleti means “Place of the Stars” in Shangaan. It is a protected nature reserve, sharing unfenced borders with the Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park and Timbavati Game Reserves. The Reserve covers 24 000 hectares of untouched wilderness ranging from savannahs, lush river ravines, marshes and hills with exceptional views. Safari
Tintswalo Safari Lodge prides itself on offering guests an authentic African Safari experience. Being located on prime territory, the Manyeleti Game Reserve is nestled amidst the unfenced borders of the Kruger National Park, Sabi Sands and the Timbavati Reserves. Sitting in the heart of this wilderness region, Tintswalo guests are treated to every imaginable wildlife sighting, including the Big Five, a variety of birdlife and small game, and colossal herds of large game.
Tintswalo Safari Lodge’s guides are hand-picked from among the very best candidates, selected for their knowledge, their passion for wildlife and their personal ability to be-friend guests and keep them entertained for the long hours spent together on game drives.
Trackers are sourced locally, many hailing from the native Shangaan communities, offering guests insights into the region’s local tradition and folklore. The trackers are truly gifted in their ability to track animals, prior to the game drives, using spoor and subtle signs of movement left in the bushveld.
Game drives are conducted in open, four-wheel drive game viewing vehicles. The vehicles are well-stocked with every comfort, including blankets for chilly mornings and night drives, refreshments and snacks for peckish adventurers and more practical supplies such as ponchos, insect repellent and sunscreen.
