Gondwana Game Reserve is a 11,000-hectare private game reserve located in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is home to the Big Five, as well as other wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and springboks. The reserve has several rivers and dams that provide water for the animals. Gondwana is also known for its birdlife, with over 300 bird species recorded in the area, including the African Fish Eagle and Black Harrier.
Kwena Lodge in the Gondwana Reserve is a modern and luxurious twist on the traditional Khoi-San “hut”. Their name derives itself from Gondwana Land, the landmass that existed 240 million years ago.
