Tucked away in the teeming savannah plains and Acacia-dotted bushveld that is the Greater Mabula Private Game Reserve, one can find the intimate camp of Kwafubesi. With only 5 luxury tents, each raised on a platform, with its own private deck, and spaced far apart to ensure complete privacy for their guests.

Enhancing the hallmark features of this serene camp, are a new strategically placed waterhole which will offer views of wildlife and birdlife from the comfort of a fully revamped dining and lounge area decorated with natural fabrics in earthy tones of cream, white and olive-green.

The new safari tents are well spaced out, large and comfortable, with queen-size beds and fully appointed bathrooms and outdoor showers, along with comfortable seating on private timber decks, so that guests can enjoy their surroundings in complete comfort and privacy.

Ideal for those who want to feel they are surrounded by the bush and prefer a more informal and gentle safari experience, Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp has a new luxurious feel with her revamp, promising guests an even more exclusive and intimate bush retreat than before.

Their talented chefs take great delight in creating food that is both delicious and beautifully presented. Meals are created with love and originality, boasting signature South African bush cuisine. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be among the highlights of your stay.

Safari

Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp is located in the Heart of the Mabula Game Reserve and is home to a large selection of mammals, including the Big Five, and other predators such as Hyena and jackal.
Guests are also spoiled with choice, with this reserve boasting a variety of antelope, from Red Hartebeest, Eland, Gemsbok and Blesbok. Lets not forget the elusive Cheetahs, cheeky Honey Badgers and the many Warthogs that flit around during your game drive.

Twice daily, game drives depart from Kwafubesi Tented Safari Camp. The spectacular sunrise over the savannah plains is best seen early in the morning, when there is still time to pause and stretch your legs and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. A few hours of game watching are possible on afternoon drives before sundowners are enjoyed in the gorgeous golden light as twilight falls over the magnificent Waterberg landscape.

Guests are also able to go on a bush walk. This 2.5-hour excursion leaves from the main resort at Mabula. Guests are taken on a walk around the reserve by our knowledgeable rangers, who emphasise the diversity of our flora and animals, particularly the Big Five (excluding lions). Your knowledgeable ranger is equipped with a rifle, water, and a first aid kit.
