Inzalo Safari Lodge is a luxurious tented oasis in the spectacular ‘big five’ Welgevonden Game Reserve, a 34 000 ha malaria-free protected wilderness within the UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere of South Africa’s Limpopo Province.

A mere 2.5-hour drive or a 45-minute flight from Johannesburg into one of the reserve’s two airstrips, makes the Welgevonden one of the most accessible premier malaria-free reserves in the country.

Inzalo Safari Lodge, a Zulu name suggesting “to be reborn”, is situated along the crystal clear Sterkstroom River. The main lodge is an airy and welcoming retreat, with large open spaces extending onto an expansive deck and bar area with spectacular views. The décor and design combine modern comforts with rustic charm to create warm and inviting spaces where guests can mingle, dine, enjoy a refreshing beverage or simply soak in the views.

Suites

Each of the lodge’s five 50 square metre custom-designed, tented safari suites have been positioned to provide maximum privacy, solitude and breath-taking views. Each suite features a private deck with splash pool overlooking the Sterkstroom River and well-stocked bar fridge. This setting allows guests to relax and enjoy the tranquillity and intimacy afforded by this exclusive ten-bed lodge.

The culinary experience at Inzalo Safari Lodge provides for very special Inzalo Moments which create lasting memories.

Their expert chefs take great care in preparing your pre-game drive morning eats, mid-morning brunch, afternoon tea, game drive snacks and a fantastic three course evening meal.

Weather depending meals are served on the deck with a view on the Sterkstroom river, in the main lodge, at the river or in the Boma. The variety of locations makes each meal an adventure and a surprise.

Hop out of the game vehicle on the sunset drive and have a refreshing drink in the bush while enjoying spectacular views of the African sunset.
