ABOUT

Dulini Moya

Why This

Inspires Us

  • Tucked beneath a lush covering of ebony trees, this lodge boasts 6 lavish stone cottages positioned gracefully along the Mabrak River – we love the fact that every Suite offers breathtaking panoramic views of the riverbed
  • Small and intimate is always a winner with us here at African Inspired Safaris!  With exceptional personalized service, a perfect balance between stylishness and modesty and remarkable wildlife sightings make it an irresistible choice!
  • We got to make unforgettable memories (and you can too!) with abundant sightings of magnificent big game (a daily occurrence in the Sabi Sands) – What’s even better is that the game drive vehicle accommodates only six guests, ensuring that everyone has a “window seat”!
  • The interior design of Dulini Moya effortlessly exudes a timeless and sophisticated charm by seamlessly combining contemporary and classic elements
  • We loved the incredibly spacious Suites, which boast floor-to-ceiling glass walls and sliding windows that offer captivating views of the dry riverbed!
  • Unlike most other lodges, the private plunge pools at Dulini Moya are heated, ensuring that you can enjoy them even on sunny winter days (we even got to enjoy them in the evenings!)

Lodge

Information

Shaded by ancient ebony and leadwood trees, Dulini Moya’s paradise is enigmatically surrounded by its rich riverine setting.

Secretly hidden in the meander of the Mabrak River, Dulini Moya offers the serenity of a completely peaceful reserve with verdant surroundings.

Dulini is the African name given to a termite mound that offers shelter to secretive creatures such as the aardvark. Many years ago, whilst exploring the rich riverine grove, the founders of the original site of Dulini Moya disturbed an aardvark resident to a nearby Dulini. Thus it became known as the place of the antbear.

More appropriately translated, Dulini is “a sanctuary or shelter” offering refuge to many wild creatures – from pangolins and warthogs, to pythons and aardvark. To the custodians of this special place, the name Dulini has evolved to mean place of sanctuary, a sought-after hideaway.

Relax in the elegance of the Winter Lounge, explore the world of fine South African wines in their curated wine cellar, and make lifelong friendships with fellow travellers in their guest lounge which overlooks the native gardens and bushland wilderness. No matter how you spend your day, their passionate staff are always ready to help and deliver an unforgettable safari experience.

Suites
Dulini Moya’s six exquisite, thatched suites grace the banks of the riverbed. Each suite offers private views of the riverbed, seamlessly integrating the grandeur of nature and elegance of décor boasting private views of the Mabrak River.

Guests will instantly feel at home in this quiet retreat where classic interiors enfold guests in romance and elegance.
The suites are decorated in a timeless blend of classic safari charm and indulgent comfort, offering a private haven of peace and serenity.

Each suite includes a spacious lounge and airy bedroom, with a luxurious bathroom offering a shower and freestanding bath to savour the moment in.
Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the suites with natural light and bushveld views, allowing you to enjoy this remarkable and picturesque Big Five wilderness, from the comfort of your suite.

Dining
Breakfast and lunch are served in the shade of towering Ebony and Leadwood trees, at tables overlooking the Mabrak River, while dinners are an elegant affair enjoyed in our Dining Sala under the ancient jackalberry trees, or the romantic privacy of your suite.

Traditional Boma dinners are celebrated under a canopy of stars. It is around the Boma fire that friendships are sealed and all African bush yarns are spun – grandiose tales of fearsome beasts and great escapes are always more memorable when shared around the campfire.

Fine wine and dining, enhanced by the culinary tradition of African flavours, complements the luxurious accommodation.
Their experienced and creative executive chef is committed to culinary excellence, while personal butlers attend to your every delight. Surprise bush experiences in the form of bush dinners and breakfasts are designed to wow guests.

Safari
The Sabi Sand Nature Reserve is famous worldwide for its big cat sightings, but also supports large antelope herds and healthy populations of other rare predators.
Twice-daily game drives led by experienced guides and trackers explore this remarkable Big Five wilderness.

Game drives at Dulini Moya are guided by professional and passionate rangers and trackers, who all have a wealth of knowledge to unravel the intricate nuances of the African bush. Many of them grew up in the area and thus, their knowledge of the environment is unrivalled. All of them are professionally qualified to manage the rigorous responsibilities of the safari experience.

Thrilling bush walks are arranged daily for an immersive wilderness experience.
