Amakhala Safari Lodge
African Inspired Safaris – Inspired to take you there
ABOUT
Amakhala Safari Lodge
Why This
Inspires Us
- Amakhala Safari Lodge is beautifully appointed in a stunning setting that is surrounded by indigenous bush and is part of the malaria free Amakhala Game Reserve.
- The very attractive styling of the lodge with its distinctive African tribal design (inspired owners and artists, Mike and Justine Weeks) reflects the fine African bead work and handcrafted designs that is evident throughout this prestigious lodge.
- Suites are comfortable and luxurious with many extra thoughtful touches to maximize guest experience. The highlights are the private plunge pools – what a great way to cool off and witness the playfulness of the monkeys, antelope, giraffe and elephant that come to quench their thirst! (or even better, your own plunge pool!)
- We loved “showering with nature” outside as well as to soak in the decadent double bath – just before heading off to sit around the firepit under the African sky, sharing stories and adventures with fellow guests! (even winters are enjoyed as you get to cuddle with blankets.)
- Amakhala is very easily accessible from Port Elizabeth – just great for a quick getaway or to add onto your Cape Town; Garden Route itinerary! (Which we would love to assist you with!)
